BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Belinda has a well-established reputation across the public sector as a senior editor and technical writer.
She has been an associate at Ascent since 2012 and frequently works with Ascent director Chris Nicholls and senior associate Peter Bonniface to provide business case development services.
Belinda has the knack of being able to translate technical or complex material into language that busy decision makers and other audiences can comprehend easily. A background in economic and social policy and research in a government ministry, and in legal publishing in the private sector gives Belinda a solid foundation for her work with Ascent across many government organisations and Crown entities. In addition to her business case work, Belinda is experienced at writing and editing ministerial and senior management briefings as well as programme and project management documents.

- Writer in the team responsible for creating successful indicative and detailed business cases, and the associated ministerial submissions for a transformation programme in a large government ministry.
- Writer in a small team (manager, data analysts, and business representatives) that tracked, monitored, and reported on benefits created to the programme’s management team, governance body, central agencies, and ministers during the implementation of a transformation programme.
Writer in the team that created a detailed business case and associated Cabinet submissions for one of the anchor projects in the Christchurch rebuild.
